However, most of the students do not like to travel every day to college and instead choose to stay in the college hostels.
Campus Infrastructure and Facilities
The university has an awe inspiring infrastructure.  The campus is built like a small fortress, and is protected by Z-level security.  Students can only enter by swiping their RFID cards.  There are many blocks of academic buildings and hostels.  Each block has a central open area with either a garden, or a playground or a restaurant, with lots of place to sit and relax.

CLASSROOMS:
A multitude of budding engineers, lawyers, scientists, journalists... study in 430 classrooms at any point of time. All classrooms at Amity campuses are spacious and air-conditioned & most of them are amphitheatre style. They provide the most conducive atmosphere for dynamic and focused discussions. Classrooms at Amity have been designed to bring together analysis with action and are augmented with integrated audio-visual teaching aids for lectures, presentations etc.

SYNDICATE ROOMS:
300 students can brainstorm at the same time in 50 Syndicate Rooms. Ability to work as a team is a critical skill in the corporate work-place which Amity students learn to master in Syndicate Rooms. The Syndicate Rooms provide the perfect setting to acquire team skills through exercises like brain-storming sessions, group discussions, role-plays etc. The Syndicate Rooms provide the perfect setting to acquire team skills through exercises like brain-storming sessions, group discussions, role-plays etc.

E-LEARNING STUDIO:
e-Learning Studios are the focal point for conducting Amity University's various online courses through distance learning. Live Virtual Classes are held wherein faculty members conduct tutorials using various teaching aids including PPTs, graphics, etc.

The central area of the main block (i.e. H-block) is an eventful place, and has some of the famous coffee shops and food joints like CCD, Dominos, Subway, Dosa Plaza and other restaurants. There is a bookshop, where students can buy academic as well as non-academic books.  There is also a nice stationary shop called P3 in H block.

All of the buildings are centrally air-conditioned. Most of the facilities required in a college are available here. There is a separate library for each department and each library has an ample number of books.  The library is also available online and it can be accessed over the college's intranet. The campus is completely Wi-Fi enabled.  However, due to the large number of students who login online simultaneously, the speed gets reduced.

The university has a host of other facilities which include hostel accommodation, medical facilities, sports facilities and a cafeteria.

Faculty and Attendance
The university has a mix of good and average faculty. Some of the senior professors have tremendous amounts of experience in teaching and research. The teachers for professional courses are better than those for Arts, Science and Commerce. However, most teachers are very friendly with the students and are always eager to help them in clearing their doubts.

Amity has a strict attendance policy. Students need to attend 75% of the lectures, otherwise they might have to face deductions in their internal marks or even fail. A monthly report of each student’s attendance is updated on college intranet. This report can be accessed by parents – another good reason for students to attend classes.

Crowd and Hangouts
Most of the crowd is from the rich and affluent strata of the society. The students are amicable and friendly.  Most of the students travel to the college, study and go home.  However, if a student really wants to enjoy college life, he/she should stay in the hostel.  Though college authorities are very strict about timings at the hostels during weekdays, it is slightly relaxed during the weekends.

Atta market in sector 18 is the place where students from Amity usually hang out.  There are many malls and shops in the area, and it is the favourite hangout for the students.  The Great India Place (GIP) mall in sector 18 is also a popular student hangout.  Besides the Atta Market, there are a lot of small ‘dhabas and shacks which serve cheap and delicious food near the college on the highway. Students like these shacks, chiefly because they get non-vegetarian food which is not served in college canteens.  The campus itself is considered to be a brilliant place to hang out and students are often seen having a good time on the premises itself.

More than 42,000 students have been placed in different companies through campus placements. The placement statistics are different for different courses.
