Kirori Mal College

Kirori Mal College is affiliated to the University of Delhi. Located on Qutub Road in New Delhi, the college was established in 1954. It is one of the most politically active colleges and offers around 20 undergraduate courses. The college began as Nirmala College that was started by American Jesuits during the partition. It was later taken over by a trust that was founded by Seth. It was shifted to its present campus in 1954.

Admission into the college is based on a cut off percentage specified by the college. Selection is on the basis of marks secured in the Senior Secondary High School Examination of the CBSE or an equivalent Board. As the number of seats is limited, eligibility does not guarantee admission. Classes begin in July.

Library and Laboratories
The college houses the N.S. Pradhan Memorial Library, which is one of the most extensive libraries of Delhi University. It not only caters to the college’s academic requirements but also stocks leisure books and other books on general awareness. The library is fully computerized and houses around 1.5 lakh books with a capacity to accommodate around 350 students. The college laboratories are modern and well equipped. All the departments have their own laboratories.
Hostel
The college hostel has 89 rooms and houses around I70 students. It has intercom facility. Students wishing to reside at the college hostel have to apply by submitting a prescribed form that is available at the college office. However, only those students whose parents reside outside Delhi are eligible to apply for hostel accommodation.
