Ramjas College

Ramjas College is a part of the University of Delhi.  It was established in 1917, by philanthropist and educationist Raj Kedar Nath, and is one of the oldest colleges in India.  It has been recognised as one of the more popular higher educational institutions in India.  The college offers around 20 undergraduate courses and has an excess of 10,000 students.  The college is known for excellence in Humanities, Business and Science studies.  The college has been ranked consistently in the India Today poll for best colleges in India.

Ramjas College has been ranked as the 8th best for Humanities study in India, by India Today’s poll of best colleges of India 2017.  The Science department also ranks among the top 20 and is 9th on the list of best Science colleges in India 2017, by India today. 
Infrastructure
The college has one of the most modern facilities backed by the latest technology, thus enabling excellent learning standards and brilliant conditions for research.  The college boasts of an air-conditioned auditorium, a state-of-the-art seminar room with advanced multimedia facilities.  Classrooms with individual computers and LCD projectors make up the infrastructure at the college.
Placement
The placement cell at Ramjas College is known as Pinnacle.  Pinnacle is run by Dr. D.K. Das.  It serves as an interface between employers and students.  Pinnacle cell trains students on soft-skills and personality development.  Pinnacle also hosts many workshops and recruitment drives to ensure that maximum companies turn up to recruit top talents from the college.  Deloitte, Wipro, Capital IQ are some of the companies which have hired from Ramjas College.
Social Clubs
Ramjas College is home to many different student organisations.  Depending on the interest one can choose to be a part of some of the social clubs like:
     •    Backbeat, a musical society for budding vocalists and instrumentalists
     •    In Step, a choreography society for budding classical and modern dancers
     •    Shunya, a dramatics society which holds, street plays and theatre
     •    Quiz Society of Ramjas College, for quiz enthusiasts.  
     •    Melange, a fine arts society for students who wish to exhibit their arts and crafts skills
