Saint Paul University

St. Paul University has been entrusted to the Congregation of the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate. The University has both civil and pontifical charters having been granted the former in 1866 by the Government of the Union of Canada and the latter in 1889 by Pope Leo XIII. Since 1965, St Paul University and the, then newly founded, University of Ottawa have been federated but both schools grant their own degrees and consider each other complimentary organizations. Today, St. Paul University is home to the largest religious studies library in Canada and to one of the foremost collections of Canon Law in the world. Currently, St. Paul University has one of the lowest tuition rates in Ontario.
